Sometimes I think it's just psychological when it all goes wrong and I wish I had to strength to walk away for a bit. Whenever I get to one of those points, whether with sewing or some other project that is just one disaster or "can't find this!" after another, Derek always says. "Honey, what are you REALLY frustrated about?" I have my very own therapist. ;)

Hey at least you didn't lose a toenail! I had one of those frustrating episodes last night-- was finishing seams slowly and carefully (OK, that's a lie, I was going too fast bc the man was anxious for me to quit making noise with the serger so he could watch Breaking Bad) and ended up catching the body of the fabric along with the seam allowance in THREE SEPARATE PLACES. Yep, three holes in my damn lining. Let's just skim over the part of the story where I started crying and then went on a rant about how I didn't want to go to work the next day, I hate my job, I hate my life, I'm not good at anything, etc. ETC. UGH.

I wish you a better day tomorrow. If it makes you feel any better, it's SO going to be worth it-- white jeans will look GREAT on you!Gingerhttp://gingermakes.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1937322106192241083.post-60208911900350864432012-07-23T13:07:53.393-07:002012-07-23T13:07:53.393-07:00Awwww man that sucks so much!! Also, with snapping pins-or bending them like that- it usually means the fabric is being pulled (by you or by the machine) through the feed dogs faster than the speed at which the needle pops in and out of it. I.e. the needle was still in the fabric while the fabric moved forwards>> the needle bent. Adding this to your fabric getting sucked into the cogs= you might need to get the tension reset. theperfectnosehttp://theperfectnose.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1937322106192241083.post-51299652008498869362012-07-23T00:48:19.775-07:002012-07-23T00:48:19.775-07:00There is definitely a bad sewing fairy out there r...There is definitely a bad sewing fairy out there ruining a whole lot of our projects.
